Nothing pumps us up like a good metal record. Those pulsing beats and sick guitar licks get us going around the office. It certainly makes research all that much more enjoyable. Some metal is dark, other metal music is funky, hard, black, gore, or even silly. But Blood Divisions’ new record “Cardinal One” is just right. Because after all, nothing makes us work happier than while we’re taking in Chris Jericho’s fantastic vocals.
The band Blood Divisions features Chris Jericho, David Austin from Nasty Savage, and Ed Aborn from Intersonic Cyber Symphony. The group is also host to numerous guest musicians from Obituary, Death, Nasty Savage, Six Feet Under, Iced Earth, Sebastian Bach, Deicide, Massacre, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. That is quite the collection of awesomeness.
Blood Divisions is a supergroup metal band who blend old-school metal with some thrash influences. Their new E.P. is outstanding. The fact Chris Jericho is their frontman only adds to the album’s appeal.
This is top of the line metal music, to say the least. Although the album consists of two instrumental tracks we don’t mind at all because of the outstanding quality of the performances.
Blood Divisions doesn’t have any current tour dates listed on their website, so the only way to enjoy them is to get a hold of “Cardinal One.” They might get to making some tour dates sometime soon, but that would be after Chris Jericho fulfills his WWE and Fozzy commitments. Y2J is booked for house shows and Monday Night Raw appearances through the end of April, and in May he’s booked solid with a Fozzy tour.

If you need some proof of how adrenaline pumping and outstanding this new music with a throwback sound is, enjoy this video from Metal Blade Records. Their cover of “Hot n Ready” is face melting at its finest. If this doesn’t make you want to check out the rest of this supergroup’s newest E.P. we don’t know what will. Just enjoy the Gift Of Metal and drink it in maaaaaaan.
