Last night Monday Night Raw ended with a contract signing between WWE Divas Champion Charlotte and her opponent at Survivor Series Paige. Contract signings are usually a segment where the opponents try to rile each other up and last night was no exception.
During the contract signing Charlotte brought up her brother Reid who unfortunately passed away a few years ago due to an overdose. Charlotte said that she is wrestling to fulfill her brother’s dream. Paige then later insulted his memory by saying Reid didn’t have much fight in him which is what prompted the two to brawl.
It’s not uncommon for WWE to integrate loved ones who have passed away into a storyline to get cheap heat. Although it’s not uncommon, it’s always seen as controversial. Reed and Charlotte’s mother and ex-wife of Ric Flair, Elizabeth Fliehr was not happy about the angle at all. See what she had to say below.
