Charlotte Flair has been a very hot topic recently as she reportedly got into a heated exchange with Becky Lynch backstage following the belt exchange on SmackDown a few weeks ago.
The Queen has been one of the top stars in the industry for years now, but she’s also faced her fair share of criticism on her way to the top. During a recent interview with BT Sport she addressed rumors about her being hard to work with, and she also questioned whether or not people would criticize her title reigns if she was a man.
“It obviously does rub people the wrong way. But if I was a man would it rub people the wrong way? No one ever looks at a man and goes, ‘why does he want to be World Champion again? Well, he’s been on top all these years.’ Is it because I’m a woman? Is it because I’ve done it all? Because we have a smaller division? Why? ‘Charlotte’s difficult.’ Why? Because I stand up for what I believe in, that makes me difficult? But if I was a man, I’d have big balls, right? No. I know how good I am, man or woman, I am the best.”
Due to their personal differences there’s seems to be a lot of attention on the upcoming Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair match at Survivor Series, and Flair thinks that the two stars will deliver something special.
“I think it’s going to be something special. You’ve got two women at the top of their game at the top of the business that believe they’re the best. When you see both of them believe that in themselves and to watch that on camera, I think it’s going to be something special.”
Survivor Series will air live on Sunday, November 21. Stay tuned for updates.
