On Sunday night Becky Lynch defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Asuka & Charlotte Flair in the main event at TLC, and in the end it was Asuka who walked out with the belt.
All three women pulled out all the stops, and there were some brutal bumps throughout the title match.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Charlotte Flair had the wind knocked out of her during the spot where Becky Lynch jumped off a ladder and landed on her, but she is ok.
The first ever women’s TLC match certainly delivered, but the ending didn’t come without controversy.
Ronda Rousey interfered, which gave Asuka a chance to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
It’s safe to say that there’s a lot of unfinished business between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here.
