Carmelo Hayes has been one of the stars to watch on SmackDown ever since he joined the brand and in recent months he’s proven himself to be a fighting champion with the United States Championship open challenge.
Unfortunately for Carmelo Hayes his title reign came to an end a few weeks ago when Sami Zayn defeated him to win the belt, and it was later announced that Sami would be defending the United States Championship against Trick Williams at WrestleMania 42.
Recently Carmelo Hayes spoke to Adrian Hernandez about his WrestleMania status, and he assured his fans that he won’t be left off the card next year.
“I do feel bad for my fans, man. I don’t want y’all to feel bad for me because one way or another, I’m gonna get it. It doesn’t matter. I’m too talented to get denied for year after year. The last two years I didn’t make it on WrestleMania, but it won’t happen a third, man. I’m just too talented.
I feel bad for my fans that have been rooting for me through the ups and downs. Y’all seen me get it out the mud, literally, and get to the top with that US Title. It was great times, but we gonna get it, y’all. I will be delayed but I will never be denied.”
