The Hannibal TV recently spoke to former WWE Intercontinental Champion Carlito and asked him if he’s interested in returning to WWE someday. Carlito seems very open to the idea of going back but says the ball is in their court.
“Hopefully, if everything lines up correctly. I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life now and I still got a couple years left. It’s really up to them, it’s not up to me. The ball’s really in their court. That’s where I started and that’s where I made my career. I haven’t gone anywhere else so far. My plan was always to go back under the right circumstances.”
It was rumored last year that WWE was seeking someone to fill the role of their top hispanic star and that the company was talking to Carlito about returning. It was reported that WWE made him an offer, but that the money wasn’t right. Shortly after those reports started circulating, Alberto Del Rio returned to the company and defeated John Cena for the United States Title.
During his time with WWE Carlito held the US Title, the Intercontinental Title and the Tag Team Titles with Primo. It certainly sounds like Carlito is interested in returning to the WWE if the right offer comes his way. Would you guys like to see him return?
