The Beast Incarnate and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is flirting with the UFC and they’re really wrapping the story around that rumor. Well, it would seem WWE might be covering their bases. But Paul Heyman’s saying “ultimate” in the way he did on Raw really makes us wonder how much of this work is a shoot.
Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar seem to want to fight each other and that fight would take place in the Octagon. Lesnar has supposedly re-entered the USADA testing pool although Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer have both noted on Wrestling Observer that Lesnar hasn’t entered it just yet.
Could WWE be concocting a great story and writing it to include a possible UFC fight? Or are they just adding to the suspense of the upcoming fatal four-way match at SummerSlam? Either way, Paul Heyman said Brock Lesnar is leaving WWE if he loses the Universal Title at the Biggest Party Of The Summer.
But Lesnar’s plans for after SummerSlam might have been revealed because he’s already booked for a handful of dates following August 20th.
Brock Lesnar is advertised for the following dates:
WWE Monday Night Raw on 8/28
FedEx Forum in Memphis
WWE Monday Night Raw on 9/11
Honda Center in Anaheim
WWE No Mercy on 9/24
Staples Center in Los Angeles
WWE live event on 9/30
Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg
So Lesnar’s got two Monday Night Raws, a PPV, and a house show on his calendar already. Seeing how he’s still under contract and can’t really leave like he said he would WWE might have to try some creative booking if they want to take the Universal Title off Lesnar. Then again Brock Lesnar might just come out on top of the fatal four-way match at SummerSlam.
We’ll have to wait and see, but don’t expect SummerSlam to be the last time you see Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring no matter how the Universal Title match turns out.
