Brock Lesnar is the reigning Universal Champion and is currently considered to be the biggest draw in the company, but it seems that Brock is also eyeing a return to another company very soon.

According to comments from Dave Meltzer, UFC has had a bad year when it comes to reaching their budget and officials are now looking at the likes of Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar to make a return to the Octagon and give the company some pulling power.

Dana White is looking at the December pay-per-view for the former champion to make his return, which would be a number of months before Lesnar’s WWE contract runs out following WrestleMania 34.

The current plan seems to be for Lesnar to face Jon Jones, who is scheduled to face Lesnar’s friend Daniel Cormier for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship this weekend at UFC 214.

Jones recently took part in a Facebook Live Q&A where he discussed the possibility of facing the current WWE star.

He said: “I would love to fight Brock Lesnar. He’s a massive dude. I mean, it would be a massive draw. Really big for the sport. It’d be a great challenge. That’s a big ol’ boy. I doubt Brock Lesnar would take that fight, though. I definitely wouldn’t try to wrestle with him the whole time. I would … you know what, I wouldn’t tell you what I would do.”

The Associated Press then contacted Lesnar for a response to these comments:

“Would I fight Jon Jones? Anytime, anywhere. Right now he should be worried about D.C. on Saturday night.”

If Jones finds a way past Cormier this weekend then it seems that this match could be a likely one to happen since it seems that UFC is grooming Jones to be the next big star in the company and a win over Brock Lesnar could well be the turning point.
