Prior to the pay-per-view it was announced that the winner of Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho would go on to face the winner of the Casino Battle Royale to crown the first AEW World Champion.
Adam Page won the Casino Battle Royale, and Chris Jericho defeated Kenny Omega in the main event. The date for the title match has yet to be announced.
