CM Punk has been a hot topic over the last few days as it’s rumored that the former WWE Champion is currently in talks with All Elite Wrestling. Whether or not Punk will actually end up getting back in the ring remains to be seen, but the report certainly got the wrestling world talking.

Booker T addressed Punk’s status during an episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, and he noted that the business has changed since CM Punk decided to walk away.

“Out of sight, out of mind. CM Punk has been out of the game for a minute. I’m not hating or anything like that, but my thing is this. Even as great a physique as I have right now at 56, when I got into my 40s, mid-40s, even though I looked good, I had a phobia about taking my shirt off in the locker room with the young guys. I had a subconscious thing that I was working with there and thinking maybe my time has passed me by, maybe it’s time for me to start doing something else as well as man am I losing a step. I started questioning myself when I got to a certain age.

“That’s where I come from with the CM Punk thing, can he go out there and still do it? Yes, but has the game changed tremendously in the last 7 years? Yes, I think so.”
