On Wednesday night The Acclaimed got another shot at the titles at AEW Grand Slam and both teams fought hard, but The Acclaimed were the ones who picked up the victory to win the belts.
At one point Swerve tried to hit Max Caster with a boombox, but he accidentally hit Keith Lee instead. As Lee was stunned The Acclaimed went to the top and Anthony Bowens hit Keith Lee with a flipping neckbreaker. Caster went for the Mic Drop but his knee gave out so he rolled out of the ring.
Later in the match Keith Lee threw Max Caster into Swerve and Swerve hit him with a powerbomb but he still kicked out. Billy Gunn then got in Swerve’s face on the outside and hit him with the Famouser as the ref wasn’t looking.
Billy Gunn then threw Swerve back into the ring and Anthony Bowens hit The Arrival then Max Caster hit the Mic Drop to win the AEW World Tag Team Titles. After the match Billy Gunn got in the ring and celebrated with The Acclaimed as confetti rained down.
