shinsuke nakamura

Many would argue that Shinsuke Nakamura was main roster ready before he even stepped foot in an NXT ring. However, the 37-year-old Japanese sensation has spent the last year in WWE’s developmental brand astonishing crowds all over the world with his amazing move-set and sick entrance.

Now that we’re on the cusp of another WrestleMania there are many who would love to see Shinsuke Nakamura mix it up on the main roster sooner than later. Well, that just might happen.

There are a few rumored surprises planned for the Raw after WrestleMania, and while Kurt Angle’s name has been tossed around as coming back to WWE television as a possible replacement for Raw General Manager Mick Foley, Nakamura’s name very well might be right behind him. NXT has announced that they will take over (pun intended) the Download Festival once again this year, and they have released a promotional poster for the event.

If you study the poster closely you should be quick to notice one glaring omission from the usual top NXT superstars. Shinsuke Nakamura is nowhere to be found. You have Sanity, Asuka, Tye Dillinger, Bobby Roode, Kassius Ohno, and Aleister Black, but there is no sign of The King Of Strong Style.

It isn’t likely they would snub Nakamura on the poster with plans to keep him on the tour. After all, his name means money. But then again, there might not be anything definite in place in regards to a main roster call-up either. But it’s still very interesting to note that even if plans aren’t solid for Nakamura’s Raw or Smackdown main roster leap, they’re still covering their bases just in case it happens before June.
