The NXT Deadline premium live event took place from the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT on Saturday night and Blair Davenport, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Kelani Jordan, and Fallon Henley competed in the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. When it was all said and done it was Blair Davenport who earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship when she won the match with 3 points.
After the match Blair Davenport got on the mic and declared that she is the Iron Survivor. She told Lyra Valkyria that she will be coming for her NXT Women’s Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil and that’s when Lyra Valkyria made her way out into the arena.
Shortly after she walked out into the entrance area Lyra Valkyria was attacked from behind by Cora Jade. After taking Lyra down Cora Jade grabbed the NXT Women’s Championship and held the belt above her head teasing that she’s looking to get back into the title picture.
Cora Jade last wrestled in a NXT ring back in July when she lost a Kendo Stick match to Dana Brooke. Following the loss Cora Jade cleared out her locker and declared that she was done with NXT, but obviously that’s not the case as she is back and has her sights set on championship gold.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
