The Royal Rumble is only a few days away and fans are expecting to see some big surprises at the event. As of this writing only 10 competitors have been announced for the women’s Royal Rumble which means there are still 20 open spots.
It seems that we could potentially see the return of a Hall of Famer at the Royal Rumble as WrestleVotes noted on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A that WWE has discussed the idea of Trish Stratus stepping into the ring.
“I know it’s been discussed. I know she will be in Indianapolis, I know WWE is bringing her in. I don’t know specifically if it is for a Rumble appearance but I know it’s been discussed. There’s only so many women’s legends they can call on, especially those that can still do it, and she’s one of them. So if she’s willing and they’re willing, I’d say better than a good shot she’s there.”
Trish Stratus previously entered the Royal Rumble in 2018 when she competed in the inaugural women’s Royal Rumble match. The former WWE Women’s Champion has wrestled a number of matches since then and she returned to WWE for another run in 2023 which culminated with a steel cage match against Becky Lynch at the Payback premium live event.
