Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and back in May of 2022, Mercedes Mone and Naomi walked out of WWE. Mercedes Mone went on to work with NJPW, and she’s expected to make her AEW debut next week, but many people in the wrestling community have been wondering if she will ever return to WWE.
Recently Mercedes Mone addressed a possible WWE return on the Kick Rocks podcast and she indicated that she believes she will wrestle inside a WWE ring at some point in the future.
“I know I’m gonna be back there one day. Okay? So it’s not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling, in a lot of places.”
Next week AEW Dynamite will take place from the TD Garden in Boston. The show is being promoted as Big Business with Mercedes Mone expected to debut. There’s currently no word on what type of deal Mercedes may have signed with AEW, or how long she could be working with the promotion moving forward.
One way or another judging from Mercedes Mone’s comments it seems there’s hope for a potential WWE return down the line. Stay tuned for updates.
