John Cena made history at WrestleMania 41 last month when he defeated Cody Rhodes to win his 17th world championship. He then went on to successfully defend the title against Randy Orton at Backlash after R-Truth interfered.
Cena then proceeded to put R-Truth through a table when he hit the former 24/7 Champion with an Attitude Adjustment during the Backlash post-show press conference.
This week on Friday Night SmackDown, R-Truth sat down for an interview with Wade Barrett. Truth talked about his history with John Cena, and he said that he doesn’t want to have to beat the sense back into Cena, but he will if he has to.
R-Truth then went on to reveal that he talked to Nick Aldis, and it’s been confirmed that he will be facing off against John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event later this month in Tampa, FL.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL on Saturday, May 24th, and the current card can be seen below.
