WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston recently spoke with AZCentral.com and was asked how much say he had into his character. He replied:
“There’s always give and take. The most successful characters and personas are extensions of the person who plays them. It’s pretty much me, for the most part. As a powerlifter, I kind of use those abilities in what I do now. It’s essentially me, but I’m still not sure how we came up with Big E Langston.”
He was also asked about the biggest misconceptions about pro wrestlers:
“People know we have Raw and Smackdown, and they know the TV schedule, but they don’t know how extensive our live events are. We’re constantly busy doing charity events, personal appearances and stuff like interviews on our day off. Even in the off-season, the schedule is exhausting. People may be surprised by how busy we are, but it’s very rewarding.”
