It’s been a huge week for The New Day, as Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship when he defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. However, Big E recently took to Twitter to let fans know he’s saying goodbye for a bit.

WWE confirmed that Big E suffered a torn meniscus when the company posted the following announcement:
“Big E of The New Day has suffered a torn meniscus, according to a tweet from the Superstar posted Thursday afternoon. He is not currently medically cleared for action. Stay with all of WWE’s digital platforms for more details on Big E’s status as they become available.”
PWInsider is reporting that Big E’s knee buckled on Tuesday night during SmackDown.
