Over the last few weeks WWE has released over two dozen wrestlers and some surprising names were let go. Fans were shocked when it was revealed that Kofi and Austin Creed of The New Day had parted ways with the company, and now everyone is waiting to see where they’ll end up next.
Fightful Select is reporting that they spoke to more than a dozen sources in AEW and it’s nearly unanimous that people in the company want Kofi and Austin Creed to be signed.
It was noted that under most circumstances there will usually be at least one person who will dissent for some reason, but everyone they spoke to was on board with the idea of Kofi and Creed joining the company. A number of big names are also reportedly pushing for the two former WWE stars to end up in AEW.
It’s being said that Kofi and Austin Creed are universally respected among the stars that Fightful spoke to in other companies, but the current expectation is they will end up with AEW.
Recently Kofi and Austin Creed were announced for GalaxyCon, and it’s also being reported that they already have more unannounced convention dates lined up. The expectation is that they will be big draws, and be in demand on the convention circuit.
