Over the last few years Becky Lynch has become one of the top stars in WWE, and she was part of a history making main event at WrestleMania 35. Lynch managed to defeat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match, and The Man managed to walk out of Mania with the Raw Women’s Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Becky Lynch carried the Raw Women’s Championship into WrestleMania 36 where she defended it against Shayna Baszler and in the end it was Becky who walked out with the gold.

Big Time Becks discussed her title reign during a recent appearance on Broken Skull Sessions and she explained why she actually wanted to drop the belt to Shayna Baszler at the Show of Shows.

“It’s hard as a babyface to stay champion that long. I had actually pitched to lose at WrestleMania 36 because it is hard to stay champion for that long and as a babyface I think I’m pretty good in the chase. We didn’t go that direction. I ended up holding that for 398 days.”

Becky later went on to relinquish the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka in May of 2020 after it was revealed that she was pregnant. Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Doudrop at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Stay tuned for updates.
