Last week The Undertaker and Goldberg faced off for the first time ever in the main event of Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia, but the match has been met with a lot of negative feedback online.
Batista is a man who knows The Undertaker well, as they feuded during his time with WWE, and The Animal recently told Pro Wrestling Sheet that he actually tried to talk Taker out of working the match.
“I called Taker Friday. I called him Friday and I said, ‘hey man, is there any way I can talk you out of this?’ and he just started laughing,” Batista said.
Taker then told Batista that he was obligated to do the match.
“He goes, ‘You know, when they talked to me about it a while back it sounded good, but, you know, I’m obligated, so we’re doing it.’ I’ve only seen clips but I won’t comment. I love Taker.”
Batista last wrestled at WrestleMania 35 where he was defeated by Triple H.
Following the Show of Shows the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion confirmed that he has officially wrestled his last match.
At this point it remains to be seen if The Undertaker will end up getting back in the ring for another match.
