Last year it was reported that WWE would not be renewing Baron Corbin’s contract which led to the end of his twelve year run with the company. Corbin has since returned to the world of professional wrestling under his real name Tom Pestock, and he recently faced off against Josh Barnett at The People vs GCW on January 19. While Pestock used his real name for the recent GCW match, it appears that he may be looking to use a different name moving forward.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office website Tom Pestock filed to trademark the name “Bishop Dyer” on January 21, 2025. The trademark documents were filed on behalf of Tom Pestock by attorney Michael E. Dockins. The description for the trademark reads as follows:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes”

Earlier this month Fightful Select reported that New Japan Pro Wrestling is interested in Tom Pestock. It was noted that Pestock and NJPW had been in contact, but there’s no word on if the two sides are planning to work together.
