Brock Lesnar stepped into the ring to face Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 on Sunday, and it was The Ruler who picked up the win over The Beast Incarnate. After the match was over Brock Lesnar shocked the world when he left his gloves and boots in the ring and seemingly retired from professional wrestling.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that there is a strong belief that Brock Lesnar was genuinely saying goodbye when he left his boots and gloves in the ring at WrestleMania on Sunday.
However, there are some that believe Brock Lesnar will have one more match at SummerSlam, and the speculation is said to be naturally occurring because Lesnar has roots in Minnesota. At least one contact at WWE was hoping for Lesnar to be on the SummerSlam card, but it’s not a definite.
SummerSlam is set to air live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, 2026. It will be the second year that WWE runs SummerSlam as a two night event, so it will be interesting to see how the company fills out the card, with or without Brock Lesnar.
Stay tuned for updates.
