Over the last few weeks WWE has been releasing talents in waves, and this week some major names were cut from the roster. Earlier today WWE announced that Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett had all been released.
Fightful Select reports that many backstage were surprised by the releases, and that there’s now speculation that WWE could be sold at some point.
Ruby Riott is one name who was said to be universally popular backstage, and her release was said to have shaken the roster. Buddy Murphy is another name who had a reputation for being easy to work with.
