WWE has been going through a major shake up over the last few weeks as Vince McMahon has returned to the Board of Directors as the Executive Chairman. Vince is looking into potentially selling the company which has seemingly created a lot of uncertainty.
Since Vince McMahon has returned board members have resigned, Stephanie McMahon has resigned, and last week it was reported that Adam Hopkins and Stefanie Fiondella are both done with the company.
Fightful Select reports that the WWE office cuts were a big topic backstage at SmackDown on Friday night. Several people were said to have been very surprised about longtime WWE PR employee Adam Hopkins not being with the company anymore.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted on Twitter on Friday that WWE confirmed they’re doing office cuts right now. It’s not clear at this point in time how many more people could get cut in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
