Vince McMahon has been a hot topic in the world of professional wrestling recently as it was reported that Vince was backstage at WWE Raw this week. Fightful Select reports that based on those they heard from it seemed Vince McMahon’s presence at Raw caused more of a stir online than it did at Raw as most talent thought it was only a matter of time before they would see him back. It was noted that Vince’s appearance more than anything turned heads. Vince showed up with dyed hair and a small mustache that was compared to Gomez Addams of The Addams Family. It’s being said that Vince’s appearance was heavily discussed.
One person who has known Vince McMahon for 20 years noted that his appearance was more drastic and shocking than when he got his head shaved. So far no real photos of Vince’s new look have surfaced online.
McMahon was present at Gorilla throughout the night and wasn’t shy about greeting talent. None of the talent who spoke on the subject said that Vince was giving orders, instructions or feedback. The discussion among people in the locker room was that Vince McMahon was there to visit John Cena and enjoy the show with some believing that he was specifically there for Cena.
There didn’t seem to be a lot of panic regarding Vince McMahon’s presence, but one talent said, “the big tell will be if he’s at Smackdown.” Talent and staff were not briefed on Vince being there and there were several higher ups who were also not aware that he would be there with one noting that they wish they had been clued in.
A few talent said they avoided dealing with Vince McMahon even though they believe they’ll likely have to deal with him in the future. One higher up felt that this was Vince McMahon testing the waters when it comes to him being present at WWE events and many expect him to be at more upcoming events.
