Roman Reigns has been one of the most dominant champions in the history of WWE and for a long time it seemed that The Tribal Chief was unbeatable. However, Jey Uso changed that perception on Saturday night when he pinned Roman Reigns in the main event at Money in the Bank.
Roman’s loss marks the first time that The Tribal Chief has been pinned since December of 2019 which means it was obviously a big moment for Jey Uso and The Bloodline storyline.
WrestleVotes is reporting that there was a feeling of trepidation from a high ranking member of the creative team when it came to putting the finish together for the Money in the Bank main event. There was a strong argument that Roman Reigns shouldn’t be pinned prior to losing his title and that argument was said to have been present throughout the process.
