This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw took place in front of a lively crowd at the Allstate Arena and the show featured an appearance from the one and only CM Punk. The Second City Saint is currently out of action due to an injury, but he got the fans talking with a promo segment that also featured Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.
At one point during the promo Drew McIntyre reminded everyone that he’s “The Chosen One” and CM Punk asked Drew, “Who chose you?” Punk then taunted Drew McIntyre while asking if he had the guts to name the person who chose him.
PWInsider reports that there was a “hush backstage” when CM Punk referenced the fact that it was Vince McMahon who dubbed Drew McIntyre “The Chosen One.” However, it’s said that once the moment passed there was no fallout from the reference.
During the segment it was confirmed that CM Punk will be appearing at WrestleMania during the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as Punk announced that he will be doing guest commentary when Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre clash on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
