The Royal Rumble is right around the corner and PWInsider is reporting that WWE held a big meeting in New Orleans recently where the creative team and officials started planning the 30 man match. This year’s match will see Roman Reigns defending his WWE Championship against 29 other men.

It’s also being reported by F4WOnline that the finish for the 30 man Royal Rumble match has been decided. It was also noted that whatever they have planned will be used to setup a match at the Fastlane pay-per-view. WWE is hoping to make Fastlane more of a big deal rather than just another pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania.

Everyone’s talking about the possibility of AJ Styles, Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows coming to WWE. But as of January 11th none of those names have signed deals yet. It could be a while before anyone signs a deal as they have to go through WWE’s medical tests and other steps before signing a contract.

However there are still talks going on between WWE, AJ Styles and Doc Gallows. Karl Anderson also noted on Twitter that his deal with NJPW expires on February 1st. Shinsuke Nakamura will reportedly be training at the WWE Performance Center in February and he will likely undergo WWE’s medical tests while he’s in the United States.
