Jinder Mahal has been the reigning WWE Champion ever since he defeated Randy Orton to win the title a few months ago at Backlash, and he’s currently set to defend the belt against Shinsuke Nakamura at Hell in a Cell next month.
Mahal made his way to the ring to cut a promo on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, and during the promo the WWE Champion referred to Shinsuke Nakamura as “Mr. Miyagi” and it didn’t go over very well because the crowd responded to Jinder by chanting “that’s too far” after he made the comment.
PWInsider reports that there was a lot of backstage talk about the “that’s too far” chant during Jinder’s promo, and it’s also worth noting that WWE has not posted a video clip of the segment to YouTube as of this writing.
The poor attendance for last night’s episode was also a hot topic as the arena was only 30-40% full.
As noted, Jinder Mahal will be defending his title against Nakamura at Hell in a Cell last month, and you can check out the updated card for the pay-per-view below.

It and Raw have just not been very good shows lately. Why pay to sit through three to four hours of something that you can dvr at home and skip to the compelling moments?
Why are today fans such a bunch of kneejerk, wussified little politically correct babies? We went from Attitude Era fans to this! What a collection of pantywaist queens!

Hate to break it to ya, the AE fucking sucked.
I understand being PC but come on. If you have to use a racial reference to get a reaction in your promos then I see nothing wrong. Now if he used a racial slur then that would be taking it too far. I missed the days of “In living color” type of comedy/sense of humor. No one was exempt from being cracked on. And everyone wasn’t always so easily offended.
Well nobody wants to go to Ontario,CA for a show. It’s not a popular venue, they need to make smackdown at Staples Center as well
