The WWE cruiserweight division will be returning to Raw on September 19th. The division will feature stars such as Brian Kendrick, Noam Dar, TJ Perkins, Gran Metalik, Jack Gallagher, Akira Tozawa, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann.
PWInsider is reporting that when the division debuts on Raw it will consist of only the 10 talents listed above.
The initial plan is for the Cruiserweight division to work Raw TV as well as NXT TV and live events. It’s also possible that the division will be added to Raw live events as well.
Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that WWE has signed Texas based wrestler Victoria Gonzalez.
Victoria is 6-foot-1 and she sent in an audition tape for WWE Tough Enough in 2015, but she didn’t make it on the show. Gonzalez was later brought into the WWE Performance Center for a tryout in May of 2016.
Victoria Gonzalez has trained with with the Galvans in Corpus Christi, with Richard Aleman in San Antonio, and with George de la Isla at America’s Academy of Pro Wrestling in Austin. She has also trained with with Rudy Boy Gonzalez of the Texas Wrestling Academy, which was formerly the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy, in San Antonio.
