Brock Lesnar won the WWE Universal Title after he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, and he appeared on Raw the next night, but he hasn’t been seen since. Fans are used to this sort of thing because when Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship in 2014, he barely appeared on TV, and fans almost forgot what the title belt looked like.
It was recently announced that Brock will be defending the Universal Title at the Great Balls Of Fire pay-per-view in July, but his opponent has not been named yet. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that although Brock is scheduled for WWE Great Balls Of Fire, and SummerSlam, the rest of his dates haven’t been worked out yet.
This week on Raw, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor made it well known that they want to challenge Lesnar for the Universal Title. However, since Lesnar is never around, Dean Ambrose made his way out to declare that the Intercontinental Title is the top belt on Raw, and Miz, Rollins and Balor battled for the right to challenge Ambrose in the main event.
Meltzer also noted that Brock Lesnar will likely end up facing both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor sometime before WrestleMania 34, but nothing is set in stone right now.
Braun Strowman is expected to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at Great Balls Of Fire, and it’s also rumored that current plans call for Roman Reigns and Brock to face off with the title on the line at WrestleMania 34.
