WWE recently announced a live event special titled Smackville that will air live on Saturday, July 27, and Fightful is reporting that one of the reasons why WWE put the special together is to make sure they have the ability to counter program at the drop of a hat.

WWE is set to air a NXT UK show on Saturday, August 31 the same day as AEW All Out, and it’s also being reported that more counter programming is expected in the immediate future.
