WWE certainly got the wrestling world talking yesterday when the company released a total of 10 talents. Among those talents were both former IIconics members Billie Kay and Peyton Royce.
Fightful Select reports that Billie Kay’s release was a surprise to many backstage, and it’s being said that people didn’t see it coming.
When asked why they didn’t see it coming the talent who spoke to Fightful noted that Billie Kay was recently used at WrestleMania 37, and that she and Peyton Royce were loved in the WWE locker room.
It’s also being reported that Kevin Dunn didn’t “get” Billie Kay, and that he had verbalized that he saw a ceiling for her in WWE. However, it’s not clear if that contributed to her being released.
