WWE has been going through major changes over the last few months, and fans have seen some big returns take place on WWE programming as of late. This week former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano made his surprise return when he cut a promo on Monday Night Raw then superkicked Theory.
PWInsider is reporting that there are a lot of people in the company who noticed that Gargano was brought back without a name change. This was seen as a sign that the Vince McMahon edict of not using real names or independent wrestling ring names is now gone. It was also noted that Gargano was officially added to the Raw roster as a babyface.
Johnny Gargano was reportedly hidden from everyone all day and most people were not aware he was there until he was brought to the gorilla position. The talk after the show is that Gargano was flown in on WWE’s company jet so that fans wouldn’t spot him.
