Earlier today WWE shocked the world when they announced that 9 talents had been released from their contracts, and it looks like it’s going to be a while before we see any of those names elsewhere. Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com noted on Twitter that the released talents will not be able to sign with another promotion until July 14th.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful it was John Laurinaitis who made the calls to inform talents they were being released, and budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases.

So far WWE has confirmed that Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Bo Dallas, Wesley Blake, Kalisto, Tucker and Chelsea Green have all been released.
