vince mcmahon

Last year Vince McMahon retired from WWE after it was discovered that he had paid millions of dollars in hush money payments to suppress allegations of misconduct. However, Vince shocked the world earlier this year when he returned to WWE to sell the company.

For months rumors regarding possible bidders started making the rounds, but the day after WrestleMania 39 it was confirmed that Endeavor will acquire WWE, and that Vince McMahon is here to stay as he signed a new contract.

Vince McMahon signed a new WWE contract on March 29th, and The Hollywood Reporter notes that they have viewed the contract which includes a Code of Conduct clause. According to the report the contract states, “McMahon’s continued employment shall be conditioned on” compliance with the company’s “Conflict of Interest and Code of Conduct,” as well as its “Equal Opportunity and Non-Harassment Policy.”

It was previously revealed that Vince McMahon’s new contract is for 2 years and will see him earn $1.2 million annually with potential for seven-figure bonuses and stock awards.

Now that Vince is back with WWE there’s been a lot of speculation regarding his status moving forward. After the deal with Endeavor was announced Vince was backstage at Raw last week and it was reported that he was firmly in control. However, he was not at SmackDown last week nor was he at the most recent episode of Raw. One way or another it will be interesting to see how involved Vince gets with creative in the months to come.
