WrestleMania season is quickly approaching and as of right now all signs point to Roman Reigns main eventing WWE’s show of shows once again. There’s been a lot of talk about Roman’s opponent as of late and it seems that WWE is trying to lock their plans in place.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Triple H has made a decision on the direction for Roman Reigns in the event that The Rock can’t do WrestleMania, which is said to be a very real possibility. The exact direction of the plan is unknown, but Cody Rhodes seems to be the favorite to take the spot against Roman Reigns if The Rock doesn’t do the show.
There are not multiple ideas on the table for Roman Reigns at this point in time as it’s believed the only options being discussed are The Rock and whoever the other plan is with.
It’s also being reported that there’s talk of setting things up so both Raw and SmackDown have a world title again in 2023, but the idea of that happening on night one of WrestleMania with someone like Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre or Seth Rollins has not been discussed as of this week.
