Things have certainly changed for WWE over the last few years as the several major names are no longer working backstage including Kevin Dunn who parted ways with the company last month.

Fightful Select is reporting that WWE is taking a new approach now that the Kevin Dunn era has come to a close, and many things that Dunn didn’t want previously are becoming the norm.

Recently a segment aired on Raw involving Chelsea Green & Piper Niven confronting Katana Chance & Kayden Carter at a night club and another aired on SmackDown featuring Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. The segments were compared to NXT and it’s being said that Triple H allowed Jeremy Borash to put together a team in NXT over the last three years under Kevin Dunn’s radar.

Triple H is reportedly happy with how the segments played out and the door is open to feature similar promos on WWE programming now that Kevin Dunn is gone.

Several people who worked on the promos spoke highly of the process and the freedom they were given. A source noted that the segments likely would have cut away to several different things under Kevin Dunn, but the new approach was to let the segment play out while letting the characters breathe.

Stay tuned for updates.
