This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw continued to focus on the road to the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, and Kofi Kingston faced off against Drew McIntyre with a shot at Bobby Lashley’s WWE Title on the line.
Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston pulled out all the stops, but it was Drew who got the victory when Kofi Kingston jumped off the top rope and Drew hit him with a claymore in midair.
PWInsider reports that Drew McIntyre ended up with a rough looking bruise above his right eye after taking a stiff superkick from Kofi Kingston.
Drew and Kofi brought the fight to each other in a stiff main event in order to sell the importance of the WWE Title match at Hell in a Cell, and people backstage were reportedly talking up what a war the two men put themselves through after the match was over.
