On this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, the new Daniel Bryan teamed up with Andrade “Cien” Almas to take on Mustafa Ali and AJ Styles. Mustafa Ali ended up winning the match for his team when he hit Daniel Bryan with the 054, but the move looked a little scarier than usual, as Mustafa’s knees came down hard on Bryan’s collarbone/throat area and ribs.

Fightful is reporting that many in WWE feared the worst, but Bryan was adamant that he was ok as he walked through the curtain. Bryan and the referee were then taken to the trainer’s room to evaluate his status.
Mustafa Ali was said to be very apologetic following the match.
There was said to be a “mad dash” to move on and film the next show.
WWE taped another episode of SmackDown Live right after this week’s show aired, and Daniel Bryan interrupted a segment with R-Truth and Carmella about 30 minutes after the tag team match.
