John Cena isn’t a regular on WWE programming nowadays, but he will be returning for the final SmackDown of the year next week and recently there’s been a lot of talk about whether or not Cena will be stepping into the ring at WrestleMania 39.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the belief is John Cena will be working WrestleMania. It’s being said that he’s currently working on his schedule to make sure he’s free for the event, but the belief is that Cena will get it done.
Cena will be unavailable for most of March and February as he will be outside the United States filming a movie. At one point the match being discussed for the Grandest Stage of Them All was John Cena vs. Austin Theory, but that was the idea on the table when Vince McMahon was in charge.
WrestleMania 39 will take place from SoFi Stadium on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
