It’s John Cena Month in WWE land and the former WWE Champion is celebrating his 20th anniversary with the company. It’s been a while since fans have seen Cena on WWE programming, but it was recently confirmed that he’ll be appearing on the 6/27 episode of Raw from Laredo, TX.
John Cena last competed on TV when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam last year, and it looks like he could be stepping into the ring at SummerSlam once again.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that it hasn’t been confirmed, but the talk is that it will be John Cena vs. Austin Theory at SummerSlam. The idea would be that Cena working with Theory will bring Theory up to a different level.
Theory has been taunting John Cena on social media in recent months, so it will be interesting to see if he confronts Cena when he returns to Raw in a few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
Everyone understands that you have far more talent, strength, and gifts than I ever had. Don’t apologize for that. Ever. An apology should come 20 years from now if you fail to provide the EFFORT needed to turn your potential into your legacy. I hope that day never comes. 🥃 https://t.co/3apKiTwgDw
