November is almost here which means that soon all eyes will be looking ahead to the annual Survivor Series premium live event. It’s been reported that this year’s show is expected to feature a War Games match, but so far the match has not been officially announced.

WrestleVotes recently shared an update on the match noting that originally the storyline for War Games was set to play out on only Raw. However, a source has indicated that this has changed which could mean SmackDown stars may be getting involved as well.

“Regarding War Games, I’m told creative within WWE has gone back & forth for a while now on the matchup for Survivor Series. Within the last few weeks the thought was to keep the story only on the RAW side of things, but the sense from a source is that has now changed…”

Recently WWE has been teasing brand warfare between SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and Raw GM Adam Pearce, but it’s been reported that the War Games match will not be a Raw vs. SmackDown match.

At this point in time it’s not clear which WWE stars will end up inside the War Games structure, so it will be interesting to see how things play out in the weeks to come.
