Over the last few months WWE has signed a number of talented wrestlers and earlier this week it was announced that WWE signed Dragon Lee. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that AEW also made Dragon Lee an offer and a friend of his noted that he was looking for advice on which offer to take.
It’s also being reported that his contract with WWE is above the standard level NXT deal, but he was not signed for main roster money. WWE contracts have a confidentiality clause which prohibits representatives from revealing the dollar amount.
The belief is that Dragon Lee will be the highest paid wrestler in NXT now that Mandy Rose is gone. He’s currently signed to a a three year deal which has pay increases each year.
It’s being said that the feeling Dragon Lee was given is that he’ll have a main roster contract and be called up by 2024. The bottom number for main roster contracts is $250,000. Stay tuned for updates.
