In recent months the new WWE regime has been bringing former stars back to the company, but today it was reported that one of the top stars in NXT has been released. Former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose was reportedly released due to the explicit nature of the photos posted on her FanTime page.

Bryan Alvarez shared an update on Mandy Rose’s status on his subscription page on Twitter where he noted that Mandy was very much caught off guard by her release. Alvarez also noted that the photos in question were getting, “more risqué and WWE wasn’t cool with that.”

On Tuesday night Mandy Rose defended the NXT Women’s Championship and she ended up dropping the gold to Roxanne Perez. Rose ended up holding the title for a total of 413 before her reign came to an end.
