From time to time WWE Superstars come to the realization that there is strength in numbers, and they team up much like Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky have. Bayley made her return at SummerSlam alongside Kai and Sky, and it looks like the group’s debut at the event was a last minute decision.
PWInsider reports that WWE filed to trademark Io Shirai’s new ring name Iyo Sky on 7/31. WWE usually files trademarks for new ring names ahead of time, but 7/31 was the actual date for SummerSlam, which backs up comments Dakota Kai made on The Bump about the group coming together last minute.
Prior to Triple H taking over it was expected that Bayley would be at SummerSlam, but there were no concrete plans for her to appear on the show.
It’s also being reported that Dakota Kai’s return was put together quickly as she did not travel to Nashville until the night before, and she was kept hidden from everyone in a bus.
