Over the last few years a number of wrestlers have parted ways with WWE either due to their contract expiring, or because the company decided to release them. In 2024, Baron Corbin’s run with WWE came to an end when the company decided not to renew his contract, but it’s been rumored that he could be returning.
Fightful Select reports that a potential return for Baron Corbin has been internally speculated for a number of weeks now, and one WWE source indicated to Fightful that it was something they’d heard recently. It’s being said that his return is far from confirmed, but has been rumored by some in the company.
According to the report although Corbin works with MLW, he is not under contract with the promotion, which is why he was able to work with AEW earlier this year. He has also worked with other promotions such as CMLL and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. Corbin has also been working as one half of the Skyscrapers tag team alongside Dijak, but right now there’s no word on if WWE has interest in bringing Dijak back to the company.
People in WWE have noted that Baron Corbin has maintained a positive relationship with the company, and a number of people said at the time he was released that they wouldn’t be surprised to see him return.
