CM Punk has been off TV for months now as the former AEW World Champion was involved in a physical altercation with The Elite following the All Out pay-per-view in September of 2022. Since then there’s been a lot of speculation regarding his status, but it looks like he’s interested in returning to the world of wrestling.

Fightful Select is reporting that CM Punk has laid our numerous scenarios that would see him return to AEW. It was noted that CM Punk is willing to work with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. However, Omega & The Bucks didn’t seem as keen on that idea as of a few months ago. It’s not clear at this point in time if their stance has changed.

It’s also being said that Punk has expressed interest in being kept completely separate from The Elite if he returns to AEW. Some people are of the belief that the rumored Saturday show for AEW could help with that as it would be easier to separate the roster, but higher ups have not confirmed that to be the case.

CM Punk is also reportedly open to working elsewhere, but it’s not known if that means ROH which is under the AEW banner, or somewhere else like WWE or NJPW.

Dax Harwood has openly said that he would like for FTR to team with CM Punk to face The Elite at All In in August, and he also said that Punk wants to return to wrestling. Stay tuned for more updates on CM Punk’s status as they become available.
