One reason Jerry Lawler was moved to SmackDown commentary was to help raise the credibility and the aura of the show so that it’s on the same level as RAW, according to PWInsider. The idea is that Lawler moving to SmackDown helps balance both shows out and gives them an “A” level announce team.
